Phantom King 14

Ha-Yeon was able to bring an end to the crazy girl and there was a naked hug to end the chapter.  Apparently having twice as much density points doesn’t really matter when you’re crazy huh.

Phantom King 13

There were some fanservice shots in this chapter as well as an explanation on her Evil powers.  He is borrowing power levels and the line “It is over 9000…errr 1000.”  Kind of a meh chapter but alot of fanservice in the midst of the fight so enjoy it.

Phantom King 12

They chase Yoon Si-Nae into an old school building.  Ha-Yeon decides to split up to look for her (people always die in movies when they’re split up).  Sung-Min found Si-Nae but was pushed out of the window by her Evil.  He is left unconscious on the ground floor.  Meanwhile Ha-Yeon heard his scream and ran toward Si-Nae.  Si-Nae infected Ha-Yeon with her Evil, immobilizing her and taking lewd pictures of her with the phone.  This is a pretty good short chapter just to show Si-Nae’s Evil powers and what she can do with it.  Also apparently she does not seem to share the same dream as Ha-Yeon and Sung-Min and Ha-Yeon was going to kill her since she does not deserve to use that power.

Phantom King 11

The two went to where the bus stopped to find the Evil presence.  After some explanation of how the cell phone/radar works Ha-Yeon saw that the dog was the Evil.  They chase it around town but were unable to find it.  Sung-Min suggests they stop to eat since they can’t find it anyway and they’d have better luck when Choe comes with the larger radius radar.  After some further coercing from him, Ha-Yeon agreed and they met up with the others afterwards.

Yoon Si-Nae - Candidate of Compatible Survivor

Meanwhile the girl from the bus is acting as a prostitute to get money from an old man.  After getting the money from his wallet she infected him with Evil.  The old man started to feel up the teacher and a funny scene follows.  After knocking the old guy out the group find the girl and chase her into an old abandon building.  It is a funny chapter with all the chasing and Sung-Min’s strategy to save the teacher.  Only question I have is where did the maid go o_O.

Phantom King 10

This chapter is a lot of reminiscing about Ha-Yeon’s past.  Her parents died in the incident 11 years ago and she was taken in by the agency.  She saw the Phantom King 11 years ago all covered in blood.  She thought he looked like Sung-Min and wanted to talk to him in the past but was always interrupted by the maid.  This is quite a funny scene actually when she was younger and trying to get Sung-Min’s attention but was interrupted every time.  They went to get ice cream and “black coffee.”  It was quite a funny scene with their whole explanation as to why he wanted ice cream and why Ha-Yeon was rude to the maid.

Ha-Yeon's Logic Of Supremacy

After eating her lunch she received a call from the agency.  Back at the agency they’re tracking an Evil Spirit, which is leaving town at a fast pace as if it was on a bus.  Scene shows another girl with a dog.

I enjoy this chapter more than the recent ones just because of the backstory and the comic relief.  I don’t really enjoy all the fighting scenes that much and this backstory into Ha-Yeon was a good start.

Phantom King 9

The chapter started out with a lot of bickering between Sung-Min and In-Soo.  Then the agency came about and Sung-Min asked them to distract him while he continues to talk.  He figured out that since In-Soo is a compatible survivor he is able to control his Evil Spirit unlike Khang-Woo so if he can just regain his conscious he will be able to come back to reality.  After more talking In-Soo was reminded that he was the same as everyone else regardless of his handicap.  Everyone have Evil within them so he isn’t any different.  Sung-Min also decided to use his powers from now on and not run away anymore.  After everything is back to normal a part of the floor broke off and Ju-Bin was about to fall off so In-Soo formed an Arm out of Evil Spirit to save her.

Arm Spec, Nice View BTW

A lot of bitching back and forth in this chapter.  It was kind of boring but at least it starts the whole idea of Sung-Min joining the agency to fight Evil.  This will help move the story along and have more insight into his past as well as the maid.  Kind of sad that I’m more interested in the maid’s past rather than whats happening right now, maybe it is because its really boring right now.

Phantom King 8

In this chapter the trio started to carry out the idiotic plan that Ju-Bin made.  She wanted to put candles in three different places in the building and after which they’d meet up together on the rooftop.  In the middle of carrying out the plan, Choe called Sung-Min and told him that an Evil phenomenon has occurred at the school building.  Everyone in the area is affected and will create an Evil spirit if they have any negative thoughts.  Up on the rooftop In-Soo who has become possessed by negative thoughts and was scaring Ju-Bin because he thought she only hang out with him because of pity.  The semi-rape scene reminded me of the La Blue Girl hentai :P.  Anyway Sung-Min came to the rescue and punched In-Soo’s Evil spirit.  Pretty boring chapter and everything is kind of cliché.  Evil thoughts occur and hero rescue damsel in distress.

Phantom King 7

Sung-Min was talking to Ha-Yeon on the rooftop.  She explained to him that she fights because she has the power to fight and asked him why is he running away.  They also talk about how all the compatible survivors share the same Phantom King’s dream.  (Damn I keep thinking about Martin Luther King’s I have a dream speech >_<).  Anyway she fights because she has the power to stop Evil and she does not want to run away.

Sharing Their Dream - Plus Panty Shot ^_~

In-Soo - Third Compatible Survivor

The villagers were told to stay in their houses because of the incident. Sung-Min is talking to Hyun-Ju in her vegetative state saying that he’ll protect everyone in the village.  The agency has a new place of operation in the village and they’re talking about the third compatible survivor.

Ju-Bin introduces Sung-Min to In-Soo who is another compatible survivor with one arm.  They talk about being able to materialize an Evil spirit but Sung-Min lied so that he can In-Soo safe and out of the conflict.  In-Soo said that if he has the power he’d use it to fight.

This chapter is pretty boring.  Its a chapter of self discovery for Sung-Min regarding what he will do with the situation.  Hearing that everyone who has the power to fight would willingly do so, I believe he’ll join the agency and help defend the village.

Phantom King 6

Ha-Yeon kept on attacking Kang-Woo however Sung-Min wanted her to stop thinking that Kang-Woo can still be saved somehow.  He released his Evil Spirit and breaks Ha-Yeon’s sword.  He then proceeded to reason with Kang-Woo however Kang-Woo’s Evil spirit grabbed Sung-Min and was about to squeeze him to death.  Acting on survival instinct Sung-Min’s Evil spirit attacked Kang-Woo and killed him.

Kang-Woo Hyung dying

Some mourning occurs after his death followed by a funeral.  Sung-Min took Kang-Woo’s death pretty hard considering he caused his death however everyone tries to console him.  Chapter ends with him on top of the school’s roof meeting up with Ha-Yeon.

I thought this chapter was pretty lame.  Everything was all typical and nothing really interesting really got introduced.  We got a bath scene with Ha-Yeon but thats about the only good thing that came out of this chapter.

Phantom King 5

The chapter starts out with Sung-Min hanging out at Hyun-Ju’s house with her family.  The mother ask him to go look for her since it is raining alot.  He is having naughty thoughts about what Hyun-Ju is up to and does not want to disturb their fun.  After some coaxing from the mother he agrees to go look for Hyun-Ju.  Meanwhile Kang Woo is reading all of Hyun-Ju’s inner thoughts and is scaring her.  He was about to kill her until Sung-Min punched him.  The agency came to help and we get introduced to Noh Ha-Yeon (gawd I hate trying to pronounce and actually remembering their names), one of the female compatible survivor in the group.  Well actually she appeared in previous chapters as well but in this chapter she actually showed us her panties ….errr I mean fight.

She starts to kill everything in sight and was given orders to kill the host if necessary.  All the Evils merge into the host thinking that the group wouldn’t harm the host; however, Ha-Yeon attacked and plunge her sword into Evil’s hand.  Sung-Min yells and say that Kang Woo is still alive.

I think this girl is going to be one of those hard to crack at the beginning until someone stronger shows her up.  And since we all know that the main character is the new Phantom King he’ll probably overpower her and so she’ll be more of a support role for the main character.  She’ll probably train him on how to fight and use her powers and what not until he becomes more powerful than her.  I think….
